Pauline Maiura, is a recent Drexel University graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Dance Performance and Choreography as well as minors in Entertainment and Arts Management and Somatics. During her time at Drexel, she studied under local and guest artists such as Olive Prince, Rebecca Arends, Sandra Parks, Meredith Rainey, Dinita Clark, Belén Maya, and more. Through working with the Drexel Dance Ensemble, she has also performed professional works by Boris Charmatz, Beau Hancock, Jennifer Morley, Dara Meredith Stevens, and Miriam Giguere.
She has also performed at events such as Palm Springs Dance Festival, the American College Dance Association Conference, and studied dance in London for three months. Pauline worked with the Nickerson-Rossi Dance Company through Drexel’s Co-operative Education system as the Assistant to the Executive Director of the International Dance Festival. She has also taught or substitute-taught dance for 7 years in various locations, as well as choreographed on the Drexel Dance Ensemble twice in 2018-2019 and the Philadelphia Youth Ballet for their 2020 concert.
Aside from her love for teaching and administrative work in dance, Pauline also has a strong passion for Dance Photography and Dance Film and has made numerous dance projects in the world of virtual performance. Her favorite part of dancing is traveling and exploring all the dance genres, histories, and mediums to share and connect with others.
